Q: Cars???????
Do you think 15,000 dollars is enough to buy a used Audi car in three years ?
A: yes. go look for a decent A4... it'll probably push 100K and be like 03-04 or something...
these are decent cars/..
$15,000 is pushing it though.
Q: What are the hottest selling used cars, those which demand the best prices?
Looking to buy a used car with high resale value and big demand. Sport Luxury would be perfect. Maybe Audi or Infinity? But I am open to anything.
I'm in Utah so any info. specific to this market is great, but any information you know will help.
Thanks!
A: Most Hondas are pretty good in that area, as well as Toyotas.
Q: Why is it that cars used in adverts on television always debranded?
Like the car tax advert uses an Audi A4 with NO badges to say what it is, and non audi alloys. And the wrigleys gum advert with the citroen saxo again without identifying badges
A: they don't have the rights to advertise these companies so don't show their logos
Q: Can I get a reliable AWD Audi for $15,000?
It is hard to find reliability data on used Audi cars, so I need suggesions. What models/year ranges are very reliable in Audis that I could pick up for under $15,000. And it absolutely must have AWD!
A: i know form experience the a4 quattro is great mine is a 2000 that runs for about $7000 u could prolly find up to about a 02' maybe even 03' a4 for $15000 just make sure it has quattro not FWD
Q: Can you lease used cars?
Im looking for a used Audi S5
A: you can. But its a terrible idea. The residuals on a pre-owned lease are terrible. The rates are not attractive. The better bet on pre-owned is to buy. The ONLY reason to lease on pre-owned is for a business lease.
There are time when leasing does make sense, for the right people. But leasing on pre-owned is seldom a good fit for anyone.
Q: Need to buy used car for commuting, and am on a budget. Suggestions as to types of car?
I need to buy a commuter car, used, and have a budget of about $5,000 max that I am willing to spend (don't have cash and may have to finance a portion). I have been searching online websites such as craigslist and cars.com. So my questions are: Are there any other websites that you found helpful? What used cars have you bought that you got plenty of years out of, with minimal maintenance issues? I would love to get an Audi. Has anyone had good/ bad experiences with an used Audi? Thanks for all the help.
A: Not sure about Audi, Toyota makes a pretty good car. My sister had a Camry that had over 300k on it before it finally gave out. All we did to it was keep it tuned up, new plugs and wires and such... brakes, tires, oil change, the usual. We also had a Nissan 200SX that we got almost 250K out of before the odometer quit. Not sure how many miles we put on it after that but it was the daily driver for a couple years or so, so it probably got 300K too. I had to put an alternator on it at about 150K, other than that it was just routine maint. as well... oh, and I had to put a clutch in it at 170K, which considering it was a 5-speed and one of the last rear wheel drive models I thought that was pretty good. I taught my wife to drive in that car when we were in highschool and it got abused a lot. We rarely left a stoplight without spinning the tires in first and getting a second gear chirp too.
Maintenance is the key... I have a 95 dodge conversion van now that has 225K on it, original motor and tranny... it's just not that great on gas.
So many of the motors now have a very short life span on the timing belts and such, and they do crazy things like drive the water pump off the timing belt inside the motor and such. If I was going to buy another car that's the things I would look for since I do most of the maintenance and repair myself and I don't like working on things that are poorly designed as far as ease of maintenance is concerned.
Try checking out the consumer reports and car and driver web sites. They will both have reviews of cars and you can probably access the archives from previous years there on the website.

Q: I am think of buying a Mercedes, Jeep, Nissan, Audi, or Lexus as a used car am I making a right decision?
A: good decision
Q: Would you advise against buying a used car with a turbo?
I am thinking of buying a 2005 Audi A4 1.8Turbo. The car came with a factory turbo installed. However my friend swears that you should NEVER buy a car with a turbo that is used because they always fail? What do you guys think? Anyone with an old Audi A4 have lots of problems?
A: he's being overly cautious
but I'd never buy an Audi again.
the parts and service are too expensive.
unless your a mechanic with another car to drive while you wait for your replacement parts to arrive in the mail. don't buy an Audi.

I really like the Audi but do you think it could fit 5 people comfortably for say a 15 - 20 min drive to school.
Do you think they would fit in at the childrens private school? or are they just average?
A: Audis are fun to drive, but 5 people is pushing it a bit. 5 can fit in back, but they had better be short and skinny!!!
I've run a repair shop for 30+ years (http://econofix.com) and some of my biggest pains have been Audis! They require plenty of special tools and need teeny tiny fingers to get in the tight places. I especially hate the 5 cylinder models!

Oh, I am not rich, I immigrated here when I was 4 and was living 12 people in a 2 bedroom apartment, but since then we've done alright, got an education and saved some money...so no I am definately not rich, but I can finally afford to spoil myself.
A: I like the BMW 325ci. They are smooth, sleek and handle really well.
Oh, and the person who said a Chevy Impala is luxurious... Seriously? It is a decent car, but I wouldn't call it luxurious by a long shot. My grandparents drive one.
Q: Is anyone buying used cars these days?
im trying to sell an audi a4 2004 and had it on carzone for a month so far. has anyone any ideas of useful websites etc
A: Hello,
Try this one www.pistonheads.com - it is a very good website, backed by a great member base / forums / blogs e.t.c.
Also, in order to get it gone, this is the time of the buyer - so do your research well - check what everyone else is pricing at, see where yours would rank in a search at a certain price i.e. if you price you car at £99 less than everyone else, will it come to the top of the searches done so people look at it first.
Take some good pictures, get some greenery behind the car for the photo and describe accuratly.
Hope you get it gone.
