Q: Where can I find a review on an Audi A3 1.8 SE (1998)? I want to compare with the other models.?
A: I've found this to be one of the most reliable sources of info. Try it.
http://www.edmunds.com/
Q: Review 2002 Audi 6 Quattro?
Is there a problem with the information cluster
A: Read car reviews on G2bay. This is a social networking site where people help each other make and save money. People post their photos, blogs, news, product and service reviews and talk about the stocks they own. Every user gets a Million Dollar Page where advertisers pay to find the right customers. The more hits you get on your page, the more money advertisers will give you. You can specify why you need the money and people can either donate it or buy ads on your Million Dollar page.
Q: 1994 AUDI 80 2.0 E 4dr Auto Saloon car review?
A: try this www.parkers.co.uk and look under owners reviews.
Q: where can i buy a wetterauer performance chip for my audi a4?
i have no clue where to go get one of these chips but i hear they get good reviews and wanted to try it out. Anyone know of a site to buy from?
A: in Germany!
Q: Audi A4 2002 1.8 quattro turbo has timing belt or serpentine Belt ?? or both?
I went to audi for a review in my car and they sad that i have to change the timing belt. Than when i talked to another mecanic they say serpentine belt....so now i am not sure with one my car has. because both give diferent price for change.
A: you have both I have a 98.5 A4 and be warned if your timing belt breaks it will cost about 3k to fix because of bent valves and so much damage occurs to this engine. Audi extended the warranty on this so I would go to an Audi dealer and find out about that and get it fixed ASAP. Its not an easy job however as they have to remove the front bumper.
Q: HELP i need to pick the right car....something similar to an audi?
I really like the audi a4 however have only hear terrible reviews about it's parts and expenses, so i need help choosing a car similar to it. I am looking for a nice racey 2/4 door car pref. leather interior and manual thank you
A: The best manual in the class is inside the Infiniti G35. This car is a tremendous value. Also, I believe you can save yourself some cash and use Nissan Parts, rather than Infiniti parts. This also goes for the Lexus IS which seems to be a lesser car on horsepower, comfort, and value. Though said, the best car in the class has been and still is the BMW 3-Series. BMW's Warranty covers almost everything for a good 50 or 60 Thousand Miles. After that, you can extend your warranty or just let it be. The BMW is actually very reliable but still expensive to maintain. Another car which is bigger, yet very good is the new Cadillac CTS. This car is an architectural masterpiece in just about every way. It is worth a look.
This is my order:
1) Infiniti G35
2) BMW 335i
3) Cadillac CTS V6 DI
4) Lexus IS350
Good Luck
Q: should i expect a more reliable car with a passat compared to audi a4??
I am looking for a car roughly 1999-2001 under $10k and i have always dreamed of an a4 but have read nothing but bad reviews so now i am thinking of a passat, should i be worried since they are made similar to audi's, should i perhaps turn to a honda accord coupe??
A: they both have issues. but then all cars have there own inherent problems
Q: Audi and BMW reliability?
Audis awd are perfect for what my dad says i need in a first car for the snow. but after looking at audis forums and reviews, they look like they are pretty unreliable, and since im in america, repairs cost alot of $$$$$. Does anybody have any opposite reviews on the audi's? bmws are just about the same as audi except the awd. but as far as reliablitty goes, any input would be great!
A: I would say they are average.
Not as good as Japanese cars.
Better than British cars.
As good as American cars.
Q: Who else thinks VW Audi are crap and unreliable!?

Who in their right mind is going to want an VW or Audi?
A: I thought that was common knowledge but people go on and on about German engineering but all their cars are pieces of crap with nice interiors.
Q: i drive an audi A4 1.8T, I need to update it any ideas?
i actually want another Audi A4 but am not so sure about buying another 1.8t; I have read all kinds of reviews...anyone, any ideas?
A: Well the question is are you buying new or are you buying used. If you are buying new the A4's now come with a 2.0t and from personal experience those just rock. On the other hand if you were looking to go a a couple years older, the 1.8t is a tried and true platform that has been around for several years and is relatively predictable as far as what repairs it might need. Either are cheaply upgradeable if your hesitancy is from a lack of power and would like a little more from the engine without any problems by getting an APR chip. (www.goapr.com) You might be surprised if you get your car chipped you may decide to keep it.
Q: What do you think of the Audi navigation?
I'm thinking of getting an Audi A6. According to the reviews, the navigation is confusing, hard-to-learn, and requires excessive steps to use. If you're familiar with the A6 navigation, what do you think of it?
FWIW, the reviews said the Acura navigation was confusing and hard-to-learn, but my husband and I find it quite easy. If anyone is familiar with both the Audi navigation and the Acura, I'm interested in knowing how they compare.
Flanders: I'm considering the Audi A6 b/c I loved my A4, but it was too small for my super-sized husband to comfortably fit in. But we did rent an Infiniti recently and liked it, so will consider that too.
A: i work at truckee auto mall infiniti is very easy to learn and is a great system but the audi a6 i find it isnt that hard to figure out but the infiniti g35 would be a good car for you or a m45......these 2 cars are some of the nicest luxury cars for a great price it also come in a awd version
The 2008 G35 Sedan is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sports sedan, available in 4 trims, ranging from the Base... read more to the xAWD
Upon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 306-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 24-mpg on the highway. The xAWD is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 306-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 23-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims
I AM 6 4 AND I FIT GREAT IN THIS CAR!!
Q: audi a3 question??
i need a new front bumper for my audi a3 2003 model new shape. i just wondered does any body know if the newer design grill/bumper where the silver trim goes all the way around the grill. will fit on my older audi with the other style bumper??
pic1: http://reviews.cnet.com/sc/31454357-2-300-front-2.gif
pic 2: http://germancarscene.com/wp-content/uploads/a3-17-12-06.jpg
pic2 is the one i have will a bumper from the one on pic 1 fit on a car which has got the pic 1 style bumper?? or not?? thanks
A: I dont think you would have any problem fitting the newer design bumper.
However the best way to be 100% sure would be to telephone the parts department of an official Audi dealership telling them you are considering this idea, and ask them is it possible.
They should be able to see if the mounting brackets/fixing points are unchanged.
Q: do i need a turbo to get a wetterauer one bar chip for my 2004 audi a4 3.0l v6?
i was told to get this chip for my car and ive read reviews and its what im looking for but the only cars i see it on is turbocharged ones
A: you don't need a chip just upgrades the chips don't do anything and on the turbos it changes the boost and engine mapping which the regular v6 doesnt need
Q: 2002 Audi A4 or 2003 Saab 9-3 Arc?
Hi, i am going to buy my first car. I still have yet to test an Audi but i like the looks of them and they seem to be getting fairly good reviews. The reason i am asking is because i found a 2003 Saab 9-3 Arc for only $7500 and i wanted to buy it. I was able to test drive and but unfortunately it was sold the next day. But i gained some knowledge about the car. I really like how the Saab is centered around the driver with the dash the way it is and it feels like a very solid car with a smooth ride. My question is what is the reliability compared to the A4, and how do repair costs differ? I know the '03 Saab 9-3 Linears had many problems but i heard the Arc's and vector's worked out most of these issues. I am looking for a car for College so i want something that wont break down every 1000 miles. Any help would be great thanks.
A: then you would be a lot better off going with the Saab, they are good cars, and most of the issues with them are worked out,the a-4 is also a good car,but the Saab is a good driving car,and holds up really well, you will find another one though, there's more than one or two of these around, but id have my financing ready when i found one, they don't usually last too long on a car lot these days, especially for that price, good luck hope this helps.
Q: 2002 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro?
Ok so i'm looking at a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. I'm a little worried on the reliabaility of them. Reviews seem to be a tad low, and honestly not all that much better then a BMW. Electrical problems seem to plague this model. Other complaints include not enough low end torque but hey its a four banger.
The one that I am looking at had its motor and turbo replaced at 80,000miles because the original owner never changed the oil. The second owner had The new motor replaced. This motor now has 40,000 miles on it.
If this car needed servicing could I take it to Volkswagon or would I have to take it all the way to an Audi USA dealer?
How hard is maintenance from home? Is it one of those cars that has to be taken in for everything including an oil change. I need some experience here. Thanks so much. Its a GORGEOUS CAR and has EVERY feature in the book including rear heated seats.
A: wow, you have some petty bickering going on here on this answering post! what part of the country are you in?, there are quite a few independant shops that are very good at working on vw/audis, to answer your question, the are a little more finicky than other cars, and parts tend to be more expensive, however the 2002 a4 is perhaps the best year, and repairs can be done at home, stay up on your maintenance, and you will be fine, dont forget to shop around if you need to get some work done, and use this website as a sounding board as to whether the prices you are quoted are fair, also buying your own parts online and taking them to the shop yourself can save you a TON of money, VW marks up several hundred percent over world-pac and the like.
all in all, this car probably will give you 10% more problems than the BMW, but the experience of driving it will more than compensate especially with the quattro
