Q: gas prices are insane. can I put regular gas in my audi?
I have an audi a4 2001.. It says to put high octane gas in. But I usually put the medium in. Would it matter if I put in the low grade gas?
A: If you have a V6 model you can get away with mid grade because the computer will retard the timing of the engine for use with mid grade although you usually get lower mileage this way but with the price of gas it will still be cheaper. i would not use regular idk if it can retard the timing that much. now if you have the 1.8T four cylinder you cannot use even mid grade if you want the engine to last it does not have the leeway that the V6 does you need to use 91 octane.

A: What kind of kit are you looking for? Factory Audi OE prices will probably be higher than anything on EBay.

Q: Indicators not working on Audi TT?
I've been having a problem the last few weeks with my indicators on an Audi TT. They work perfectly the first few moments after starting the car, but most of the time they do not work intermittently. In fact they stay on and do not flash.
Apart from the problem of staying on without flashing, they work exactly how indicators should (switching off after turning etc.). This makes me think it is not the lever.
I don't particularly want to pay Audi's prices for official repair, so I want to know if it is an easy problem to fix.
Any ideas?
Ok I just tried them again and they didn't work. But i switched my Hazard Lights on and off and they seem to work for a while.
Could the problem be connected to the Hazard Lights?
A: Sorry to be blunt, but all of these guys are wrong. What you are describing is a common problem. The fix does not involve light bulbs, ground straps, or a flasher. The red, round hazard warning switch is the culprit. The switch has the "flasher" built into it. If you replace this, I would be willing to bet it will fix your problem. I have fixed many TTs with the same issue.

A: It's technically W12 Audi A8($120K), but you would be hard pressed to find an Audi R8 for under $160,000

A: The GTR is outa the otheres Leagues. The S5 im guessing will prob be a little more than the s4, around $50,000. The infiniti GTR is gunna be around 80-90 grand, and the m3 will be around 60, as the old one was. I wouldnt get the new v8 m3, id get the 335 becaus ethere is more potential with that engine Twin turbod. They are already running on such litle boost, i have heard of people turning up the boost to 17psi and pumpin out more power than the m3 will have stock.
Q: cost for replacing a timing belt on 2002 Audi A4?
I have a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T with 83k miles on it. I am the original owner.
According to the manual, replacing a timing belt is @ 105000 miles. however, the audi service and a local mechanics are saying that I should be replacing the timing belt with the water pump by now.
Should I leave the car at the Audi service or a local mechanics to do it? i am sure the price at Audi service would costs way higher than the local mechanics.
In both cases, what's the fair or reasonable price range for changing a timing belt along with the water pump?
