Q: oil viscosities for the 1996 Audi S6 Quattro?
could anyone give me a link or tell me the oil viscosities for the 1996 Audi S6 Quattro and the ambient temperatures.. more importantly, if anyone has the manual, does it say to avoid long trips when using 10W-30 weight oil??? or is that only with 5W-30?? or does it not recommend using 5W-30 at all? the engine has 40 000 miles on it only. it is a turbocharged in line 5 cylinder engine with 4 valves per cylinder.. i can only run it with 20W-50 if the ambient temp is around 45 degrees celcius or 100 farenheight otherwise i will fry the turbo bearings...

A: with a car that old, it probably has over 100k miles and should use the high mileage formulas. I like the Castrol 20/50 for summer and 10/40 for winter...

Q: I am thinking of buying a V10 Audi S6 or a V8 Bi Turbo RS6 - Which one should I buy?

A: It's difficult to choose one. Your best bet would be to dribve them both and then decide which one you prefer best. You would probably be best with the V8 because 1. As already said it sounds better 2. Because it is older depreciation shouldn't be as bad and 3. It is more likely to be a bit more economical, however i doubt that is your highest concern. Q: Should i get a 1995 Audi S6?
This car has 180000 miles on it, but its immaculate and i need a second car...what do you guys think? Am i looking at a nightmare to maintain or a great car. prolly should clarify, this would be a second car, i currently drive an 04 rx-8. The reason i would buy this car quite frankly is the cool factor from driving a rarer car...on top of the winter driving.

A: I am thinking the S6 is a turbo, right? An Audi turbo engine with 180K miles on it (and still running) is probably as rare as an albino snow leopard. I would avoid it. Don't laugh, but for the same money, you could probably get a decent Accord. If you get an EX, they compe with sway bars and handle very nicely, and won't cost you an arm & a leg. Good luck.

Q: Oil filter location on a 1995 Audi S6 2.2 20V turbo?
Does anyone know where the oil filter on this car is located?

A: OK the oil filter is located at the back of the engine just below the turbo . The pipes from the oil cooler run into the oil filter housing. Should be on the back left of the engine looking at it from the front of the car

A: i dont' care how much money i have, i'm not buying my kid either one of those. not as a first car. nothing over 20,000 thousand, and they'd have to put some money in too. plus they'd have to have a job or be going into college.

Q: Why are these new Audi rims so cheap?
I found these rims on ebay and they are so much cheaper then any other rims I've seen. Any idea why? Are they low quality? If they are low quality will it effect the performance of my car? A: Seller says DOT and YUV approved, if that could be verified they would be safe and of sufficient quality for use. They may not exact match with the Audi ones for individual replacement but work good as a set. They are indeed replicas, but not necessarily of poor quality. Q: Any ideas of an all-wheel drive sports car?
I'm a serious autophile, however I cannot think of any all-wheel drive sports cars right now. I can think of some sedans (Volvo S60 R, Audi S4, RS4, S6, RS6, Mazda SPEED6, Subaru Sti, Mitsubishi EVO) but no coupes, other than a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX or an Eagle Talon TSi. I'm looking to buy a fast, sporty car with AWD, and the Volvo S60 R packs a lot into a very good price. Any other ideas?
