Q: What do you think of the new Audi S3 compared to the VW R32?
I know this question should be in the automobile secession, but this is directed to South Africans

A: Same car dressed in different clothing. Its just that the Audi is teaked a bit but then it weighs more which then cancels out the difference. Don't get me wrong they are both briliant cars. But if I had a choice I would take the Audi it looks better.

Q: how do i remove the car battery from my 1999 audi s3?
i have removed the terminals but cant work out what is holding the battery in still?

A: My audi A4 battery was held in by a clamp at the bottom. You possibly need an Allen key on a long socket to undo. Remember it was really difficult as it was in the bulkhead behind the engine. If yours is in a similar place get someone to help you lift, I nearly strained myself.

Q: How do i remove audi (S3) front seats?
i have removed the 4 bolts on the runners but the seats will still not come out. have i missed somthing

A: there's usually 4 bolts under the car that hold it to da flo, hope thid helps

My friend wants to bring an Audi S3 from Mexico into the US (california) and maybe sell it... What does he need to do in order to bring it in? And also to pass all the rules and regulations needed for cars here in the US? To my knowledge, the S3 is not available in the US so I'm wondering if that would be illegal to bring in...

my audi s3 (1998) starts up fine. as soon as i give it some revs it dies out. any idea what this could be?? thanks A3 SORRY NOT S3

A: Right if it is just a standard A3 the plugs could be wired in the wrong order. The plugs normally light in a set sequence and if that sequence is broken, by a faulty plug, or wrong order, then they will not fire and the revs will die. Honest John mentioned this in his saturday telegraph column

Q: What's the difference between the S3 and S-line A3 bodykit?
I'm buying a new car and really like the overall look of the Audi S3. The problem is i don't need a car that does 0-60 in under 6 seconds so was thinking about the A3 S-line. Can someone tell me the difference between the bodykits fitted to the two models apart from the chrome mirrors on the S3 and the different wheels.

A: I think the sideskirts maybe different on the S3. Am not sure but I also think the arches of the s3 are slightly more flared than the other A3s, although that is not part of the bodykit.

Q: what would be the reason for lost power (boost)in my audi s3 1999. also an increase in tubo noise
when i drive there is eccesive sucking noise from the engine and the turbo has lost its boost it just drives like a normal car, also when i change gear it dumps as if it has a dump valve( even though it dosen't)

A: Boost leak. try and find where the sound is coming from.

A: I dont believe they make any kits, at least Ive never seen any, there is always the option of custom work though.
