How is this done on there v6 engines.

A: Audi is innovative in their 5 valve cylinder head design. They use the regular 4 valves for normal operation but the fifth one is incorporated for extra power and efficiency. They have strategically placed them in a part of the combustion chamber where they can ad extra air/fuel mixture and aid in the ionizing and burning of the fuel. This auxiliary system is great for performance but probably has its drawbacks when it comes time for a valve adjustment.

A: don't buy a Audi. any Audi, ever. they are very expensive to own and repair. they are unreliable. only Jeep, Range Rover and Jaguar have a worse repair history.

i was thinking of buying one but it needs a new clutch, so i wonder how much it would cost. Im guessing labor would be the majority of it.

A: You should be able to get a clutch kit for around 120$ off rockauto.com or ebay If you take it to a private mechanic/small shop labor would be about 300-450, so we'll say about $450 to replace the clutch whatever you do, do not take it to the dealer!

Q: do you have a page on where i can find a used short block or piston for 1993 volkswagen eurovan 2.5 liter?
I have a 1993 volkswagen eurovan 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine code is : AAF. I am trying to find the pistons for my engine, but nobody has them. Everyone tells me the only way I can find a good complete used short block. Actully my block is OK the only problem I have are the pistons. Can someboby tell me if the audi 5 cylinder of the diesel uses the same size of my pistons or any type of car? I would appreciate if someone would help me thank you.

When I put in Tiptronic mode it shows me 7 gears.

A: Hi, 2005 A4 2.0L has 4 transmission options. 6-speed manual Quattro, 6-speed manual Front Trak, Multitronic (CVT) and 6-speed Automatic. You have tiptronic so your A4 transmission may be either Multitronic CVT OJ1 or 6-speed Automatic 09L. If you see 7 gears, it is CVT and your car is not a Quattro. The 6-speed automatic 09L is for A4 2.0 and 3.2L Quattro. Hope this help.

A: Should be some tabs on the rear of the headlight housing, you might have to take off the bumper and remove the housing to get to it though.

A: 1st of all ur comparing cars that are all in diff leagues, the aston martin db9 would kill a miata and slk. audi r8 has a lot of torque and hp but its a lot heavier then a db9 so the db9 would be faster, so its DB9, R8,SLK ,Mx-5 miata the only way a slk would come close to the db9 if it was the slk 55 amg

A: i just got an 02 porsche boxster S for 10k. that was a month or so ago, even better deals now. just make sure its the S version boxster. im extremely happy with it, and i think its a hell of a lot of car for the money. i would say it is also in a different league in terms of build quality to the bmw and audi.....and also in terms of FUN :) EDIT........ when buying a car, dont look so much at the actual price (of course must be within budget), but try to determine when you will sell and what you will get for it. that way you can see what cars are really good deals long term. personally, i think you would have to do quite a bit to get a boxster S to drop more than a few grand of 10k....its already rock bottom. insurance is bad, i wont lie...but worth it for the fun :) petrol isnt bad if you drive it like a saint. but you wont, trust me. budget for about 25mpg and you should be quids in. but if you do drive like a saint, its surprising how far the tank lasts cause you never get above 2000revs!!!!! service/maintence.....yes some people have nightmares....but most dont.....remember, you dont hear the people who have trouble free cars banging on about them. they are too busy driving them ;) but 2k a year should be more than enough for all the brakes oil tyres etc that you will need plus a bit left over for a part or 2 that might break. generally, if you drive it like a nutter, you will pay for it. to me thats ok cause im getting enjoyment from it. so petrol bills are ok, and if i use a good bit more rubber, or break something in the engine (god forbid it be bad) etc, thats fine too :) its ALL worth it. ps, im not rich at all. im just stupid with money!!!!

Q: audi 5 lug wheels?
does anyone know if 5 lug rims off a 96 a4 will fit on a 2000 tt quatro?? both are 5 lug i was just wondering if the were the same (5x100 or whatever) i smashed one of my rims on a pot hole and found these ones on craigslist and was wondering if i should even go see them

A: No they won't, unfortunately. You need a 5x100 wheel. the TT is the only Audi with this bolt pattern. you can look at VW GTI wheels, but they are gonna cost you. Also keep in mind that the TT front brakes are huge, and you really need the right offset to handle them. GTI or Turbo Beetle S wheels are the best bet, if you can't find the TT wheels.

Q: Audi Convertible 4 stud hub - adapter for 5 stud wheel?
Does an adapter exist to change an early 4 stud Audi hub to a 5 stud so I can fit aftermarket wheels?

A: Don't know if they have one specifically for the Audi but check with J.C. Whitney online for the parts. they also have a live chat feature that you can use to ask for specific applications.
