Q: How to you check the transmission fluid level in an 2003 Audi A62.7t?
I have heard that you cannot do it yourself, that you have to have it hooked up to an audi diagnostic computer just to do this. Is this true?
A: the Tran dip stick is yellow
Q: Should I buy out the lease on my 2003 Audi All Road Quattro?
My lease is coming up and I'm trying to evaluate whether it's worth buying out or should I look at getting rid of it. I love the car but hate the gas mileage and they've discontinued this line. I'm thinking about a hybrid. I'd love to hear from some really savvy auto folks.
A: If you have a lease in which you have a certain amount of miles per year and went over, definitely buy it out, then you could just sell it and possibly make a profit instead of just handing it back over to the car dealership and walking away with nothing.
As far as buying a hybrid goes, I don't think it's worth it yet. On average, you are paying about $5,000 more for a hybrid model over a regular model, and it really only gets 10 or so miles per gallon more than an average compact car, like a honda civic, toyota corolla, etc.
Q: how do you reprgram the key fob for keyless entry into audi a4 2003?
im about to change my battery i just need to know how just in case the keyless entry doesnt work,.
A: I think you have to have a dealer do it.
Q: Audi 1.8T A-4 2003, had battery replaced now the speedometer does not read correctly. How do I reset it? ?
This is my son's car and he is deployed. I questioned the repair guy and he said no problem with changing the battery I even questioned something about the MPH, thinking it wouldn't go over a certain speed. But what I realized is it will run normal but the MPH is wrong. Going 55 mph says I am going 22 mph. Is this a simple fix and can I do it. Just sign me as Mom not a mechanic.
A: Hi
This is an easy question to answer as i have seen this problem many many times.
First off please ignore the other answers as they are all WRONG!!!
There is a switch somewhere in the dash area that switches the cluster from KPH readout to MPH.
Locate this switch or button and your problems will be gone.
I hope this helps Good Luck.
Q: How do i change the fog lights on my Audi A4 2003 1.8t?
There are 2 slots below each taillight but i didnt wanna pull them out to hard. and ill be damned if i pay 100$ to have them replace something that easy. But it turns out they made it hard to do someone pleae help. ! more question the tube where me oil dip stick goes into is falling apart! The car has only 24000 miles on it has this happened to anyone else?
A: u have to pull those covers to access the bolts holding the fog-lights in place. the covers come out by pulling them straight out toward the front like so (don't be afraid to pull on them) :
http://www.audiworld.com/tech/pics/ext66_3423975523232fp63ot23264954XROQDF232368.jpg
them make sure you unbolt the mounting screws .. NOT the adjustment screws for the fog-light aim ;)
Q: 2003 audi is this a good car it has 105,000 mi
can some one please tell me if this is a good car to get in to, it has 105,000mi and they want $10,000 is this a good price. This is my frist audi and i need some help the car looks good. If someones had this car and had probloms with it let me know 2003 audi a4 3.0 Qu 6 speed HELP ME???????
A: WHOA, NO. First, it's an Audi. Second, it has over 100,000 miles. Third, it's an A4 (the cheapest Audi).
Do a Google search and just read a few of the thousands of articles that serve as a testament to how poorly VW did on the A4. It has TONS of problems.
Q: How do you change audi A4 ,2003 headlights?
A: It's kind of a pain.
You may need to remove part of the intake snorkle above the right side headlight housing which is held on by a single screw at the front opening of that piece.
There are 2 torx screws on the top side of the housing close to the front and 2 more at the back on the bottom side of the housing. Remove the 2 top screws, and loosen the rear ones to pull the housing out towards the front of the car. The two lower screws don't need to be removed... just loosened. Once you remove the housing you'll be able to open it up to access the bulbs.
Be gentle and don't touch the bulb glass with your fingers... handle by the metal housing only.
Good luck!
Q: I start process to buy audi 2003 Audi A4 1.8 T Quattro. what do you suggest me??? It's 91,000 mile?
The extror part is perfect also the internal. I'm not sure about the enginee. i found out when i read that i need to change the time belt @ 90,000. what do you suggest me
A: Take it to a shop and have a pre-buyers inspection done. Spending a few bucks to get it checked out BEFORE you buy it may save you some money in the long run. You can find out if it has anything wrong with it right now or some future needs. It may also give you some bargaining power & lower the purchase price.
Q: 2003 Audi A4 oil change in NYC?
Audi Owners! Where do you get your oil changed in queens/ brooklyn, nassau? I previously got my oil changed at the audi dealership in great neck but that was a bad experience and need a new place. I thought I could trust a dealership to do a simple oil change but I guess I can't.
A: you can take it to any reputable shop and just make sure they know the type of oil it needs. don't let them put the oil that they use for there $19.99 oil change in if you pay less than $40 for the oil change they probably used the wrong oil.
Q: Need advice from 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro owners?
I have been given the opportunity to purchase a2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with less than 50k miles, for the low price of $4,000. And I am unsure whether this is a good deal or not.
A: lol wow why so low something must be wrong with it. i got mine for $4,400 and its a 2000 with 137,000 miles so there must be something wrong with it.
Q: Is $6,950 too much for an 2003 Audi A4 w/ 141,183 miles?
I am looking at a 2003 Audi A4, that has 141,183 miles. I know that is a lot of miles but the car is going for $6,950. I am 18 and trying to get financed for a car and because this one is cheaper, I might have a shot.
VIN is: WAUJC68E93A185112
Can anyone get a carfax report?
On the page the Seller's Description and Comments say...
Titaniam Silver Metallic on matching leather, sunroof, auto, fully loaded. An amazing vehicle. Call or ask for Dan The Internet Man.
A: Audi s are for ppl who can afford to lease a new one every 2 or 4 years..my friend not only isn't it worth 7,000 but you will be paying up to a $100 or more a hour for it to be worked on by a dealer and with 141,000 it as no retail value...if u were to trade it in you would maybe get 1,000 for it and if you could get fin acing it would be high cause of ur age and the mileage....Now you can listen to what most ppl are saying here or learn a life lesson about auto purchasing....Figure this, 7000 financed at 18% for 3 years, $1260 a year x 3 $3780 pus tax...$12,000 for car that has no retail value... At your age if I were going 2 finance a car it would be a small toyota of honda brand new, so you can drive and only have to deal with the note insurance and gas...You buy this Audi and probably ur looking at some major money for a trans or engine, who knows, it has 140,000 miles on it
Q: Audi A4 2003 repairs?
Okay im fixin to buy an Audi A4 2003 w/ a 3.0 engine
In the next year the mechanics say i should replace the timing belt and the wheel bearing in the back, can anyone tell me what this might cost?
Ive heard what mechanic you go to, and where you live contribute.....
I live in rural Florida (on the gulf coast if that makes any diff)
A: Well your not going to know for sure until you get an estimate...the parts for the belt and the wheel bearings will depend, but probably cost around $45-65...now, the repairs will get expensive from the labor, which is usually $99/hr...So I mean, you really need to call around to get a good estimate
The best way to do this (I live in Florida too, but in the Ft. Lauderdale area) is to search thru the Better Business Bureau to find your mechanic...this way, you will find a mechanic that will give you a fair price AND not screw you over (a lot of mechanics think that they can repair Audi's no sweat)
Q: Audi A4 2003 Remote Key?
Audi A4 2003 B6 model..
I want to duplicate my remote key.
and I looked the oem remote key on ebay.
it says:
Numbers inside are:
315 MHz
4D0.837.231.F
FCC ID: MYT8Z0837231
PLEASE BE SURE TO MATCH THESE NUMBERS WITH YOUR CURRENT REMOTE OR CHECK WITH A DEALER TO MAKE SURE THIS WILL WORK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I tried to find the fcc ID number on my existing key, but I couldn't. THIS key on ebay will work for every key of audi a4? or only for matched key?

A: Did you open your key head? The FCC ID# is in there right above the battery provision.
